Partly absurd and broken with a roadblock
I was really at a roadblock when I made this short video. Although I am still working with the first section of the piece. The rest was a stream of consciousness that just got spat out the night before the critique. Needless to say that crit didn't go well. But I did find it important to reassess my own interpretations of artist intent and meaning. I find that to much or to little of meaning in art makes meaning seem frivolous. so I am on a quest to create art that is at this happy medium.
Postcard
I ran through a bunch of different formats for the card and finally came up with this little gem.
The logo for Power Plastique was based on the old warner brothers logo and cast a shadow on the Arizona desert. recently returning from Phoenix it's landscapes have had an impact on me, so I thought i would make an impact on it. This postcard is evocative of a central theme in my work to create a dichotomy between the abstract and representative.
